Cast Announcement for Lobby Hero by Kenneth Lonergan
The Elite Theatre is proud to announce the cast for its upcoming production of Lobby Hero – a play by Kenneth Lonergan.

When Jeff, a charming young security guard, is drawn into a local murder investigation, loyalties are strained to the breaking point. Jeff’s tightly wound supervisor is called to bear witness in criminal trial involving his troubled brother. Meanwhile, an attractive rookie cop finds she must stand up to her seasoned but morally suspect partner. Truth, honor and duty becomes elusive, and justice proves costly in this comedic and insightful drama.
Lobby Hero, directed by Cate Caplin, will run for five weekends on the Main Stage from July 8 – August 7, 2022, with Friday and Saturday evening performances at 8pm, and Sunday matinees at 2pm. There will also be a special Thursday night performance on August 4 at 8pm.
About the director:
Cate Caplin has produced, directed and choreographed over 200 productions and her work has been seen on television, in films, music videos, commercials and in theatrical venues world wide from the Paris Opera House to the Broadway Stage. She is a 34 times Regional and International Theatrical Ballroom Dance Champion, a published writer and an acting and dance coach. Cate wrote and directed her first feature film, Mating Dance which played the festival circuit and won an Accolade Award and she has been the recipient of a Garland Award, a Women In Theatre Red Carpet Award, multiple LA Stage Alliance Ovation, Eddon and Scenie Awards and an Award of Excellence from the LA Film Commission for her work as a Writer, Director, Choreographer and Producer. Cate is a Directing member of Actors Studio West, an Associate Member of SDC, and was honored last season to receive Playwright Arena’s “Lee Melville Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Los Angeles Theatre Community.”
NOTE: The Elite Theatre Company, in consultation with other theatrical companies and performance venues in southern California, is adjusting its precautionary policies regarding the ongoing pandemic. To gain entrance to The Elite, all artists, audiences, and staff are required to present a photo ID plus proof of vaccination and booster against COVID-19 or an officially administered negative COVID-19 test (taken within the previous 72 hours).
